Hours and Admission

The Heard Museum, the Heard Museum Shop, Books & More and the Courtyard Café are open Tuesday through Sunday. We are closed for the following holidays: Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Early closure at 3 p.m.: Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

We are open

Tuesday through Sunday | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Members Early Entry every Saturday and Sunday | 9 to 10 a.m.

First Fridays of each month | 4 to 8 p.m.

Admission

Prices for admission and events are subject to change. These prices do not reflect special event ticket prices, such as for the Hoop Dance Championship or the Indian Fair.

Tours

All in-person tours are suspended until further notice. Audio tours for Away From Home and other exhibitions are available in our free app. You can download the app to your personal device from the Google Play or Apple app stores or view the content in your browser. iPads are available for checkout in admissions. The Heard Museum is located on Central Avenue, four blocks north of McDowell Road (Cross street: Encanto Blvd.) 1/2 mile north of the Phoenix Art Museum. The Heard Museum Encanto/Central stop on the Valley Metro Light Rail line lets you off right at the museum’s entrance on Central Avenue. There are many places to park and ride Valley Metro. PARKING

Ample free parking is available on the museum grounds. For weekend festivals, look for signs along Central Avenue for extra parking.

DRIVING

PLEASE NOTE: On occasion, Third Street is closed for parades and other special events.

From I-10 Heading West
Exit 7th STREET, and turn RIGHT (north).
Turn LEFT (west) at the first major intersection, McDowell Road. You’ll need to move across 7th Street quickly to reach the left turn lanes onto McDowell Road.
Turn RIGHT (north) on Central Avenue.
Turn RIGHT (east) into the Heard Museum.

From I-10 Heading East
